Visited Chicago December 18th 2024 and visited Uncle Remus! The best fried chicken and okra I’ve had in years (tastes just like my mom’s fried chicken). It was evenly seasoned, it definitely had that crunch and it was not greasy. The staff were very efficient and professional and the location was very clean. I visited twice during my stay and can’t wait to return again.
Congratulations! THE GRAND OPENING! This place has been here since my mom was 12 years old! They remodel the inside - (I’ll update with a picture next time im there) They food has always been at it top best for they amazing crispy chicken with they amazing A1 sauce! If you are visiting Chicago for its tasty food this place is must. We travel out of state to the west side for this delicious pan.
Yall have gotten more Expensive and went down on yall large fries. I don’t like that took the the fries out the meal like if you are getting 3 wings or more fries should come with it anyway. Not having to pay extra for the fries and the roll. Other then that everything was amazing

First time trying uncle remus and let me tell you tasted amazing with a delicious crunch!! Had a half white mix with mix of both sauces! Wish I would of gotten extra sauce, but other than that my food was delicious thanks!!
